Departure of Klakki’s CEO

Magnús Sch. Thorsteinsson, Klakki’s CEO and the company’s board of directors have, at Magnús’ initiative, reached a mutual agreement about Magnús’ departure from the company. 


“I am pleased with my 7-year tenure as Klakki’s CEO and feel we can be proud of the many things we have been achieved.  We have resolved disputes, restructured, built and sold off our businesses generating recoveries well in excess of estimated recoveries at the time of composition in 2010.  Klakki will remain the owner of Lykill fjarmognun hf in the medium term.  Once I have helped Klakki and Lykill to define the strategy going forward, it is logical that we part ways.

I want to thank my colleagues at Klakki for our very pleasant and productive collaboration.”
 

The board of directors of Klakki extends its thanks to Magnús for his contribution as CEO which has been instrumental in the success that has been achieved and wishes him all the best in the future.
